Growing up sailing the waters of Narragansett Bay, Elizabeth Devlin took many detours before settling down to write her first novel. A graduate of Emmanuel College and with a doctorate in history from Oxford and years serving in US embassies abroad, Elizabeth built a house with a view of the water so she could fulfill her lifelong ambition to write stories focused on what fires her passion. She is an enthusiastic supporter of Save the Bay and of all who share her devotion to the ocean, to family, and to a belief in a happy-ever-after.
