Elizabeth has many interests and this blog will reflect that. She plans to post a wide mix of content depending on what’s going on with her or with the world at that moment in time. Sometimes it will be interviews with other writers, oceanographers, or environmental groups. Other times she’ll post from her “treadmill journal” to give readers a flavor for what the writing life is really like.

Seal-watching on Narragansett Bay, March 6, 2021

I’m struggling to find the right environmental thread to weave into Joan’s story (book 2 in the Narragansett Bay Series). So I went seal-watching in the cold yesterday on the Save the Bay boat. We set off from Bowen’s Wharf in Newport at 3 PM and quickly headed toward the Pell bridge. The seals like to rest on the rocks near the Rose Island Light. Here is a brief video from that fun excursion.
